How Turkey Is Capturing The Budget Hunting Firearm Market

My current frustration is A/C. Texas and fly by night A/C companies go hand in glove. Shoddy installs, jerry rigged repairs, etc. are not glitches, they are features.
You're not wrong here at all. If I ever have to have a system replaced again, I'll be paying for a home inspector to come in and do a specific AC inspection as part of the acceptance/final payment process. Never trust the companies themselves, and where possible save money buying the unit yourself from a supplier directly and having a service company certified by that manufacturer do the install for warranty purposes. Never trust the downstream company's warranty... they go out of business, re-incorporate and spin right back up, leaving you holding nothing.

I'm considering a Canik 9mm, 20+1 in a 9mm pistol, the SAR has 21+1, but it's not the gun the Canik is.
I got to hold one of the hard chromed full steel Canik's at my LGS recently - I was impressed. Add to that the in-market and aftermarket support for the gun and its track record on the competitive scene and it's a solid option.

Good advice, thanks.

Agree especially about Stihl. I managed to repair the trimmer and it's functioning OK, but yes, two years is about the limit. I bought a Stihl chainsaw and it is marginally better than my 12 year old Echo. When it says on the chart "for occasional use" believe it.

Well and anymore you get a repair tech that is just following the “handbook” and pushing a $475 capacitor you can buy for $35 on amazon. I don’t think that’s exclusive to Texas, have same thing here in NC. I was lucky in NJ, grandfather was career plumber and his brother (great uncle) an electrician. They were able to give me names of great companies to use.

The MKE built MP5/k copies are pretty solid across the board…but that’s maybe because HK pretty much set up and ran the plants for Turkiye.

But those are pretty much my only experience with Turkish guns, besides a century old Turkish Mauser I had for a bit.

For Stihl: Chickanic.

The Turks as well as the Chicoms will build something to the specs a manufacturer requires at their cost of production plus a profit.

The Turks do make some high-end firearms, at a price.
