I have a 1991 7" Longslide Javalina.

Friend passed a few yrs ago. His widow had his guns. 7 of them. This lawyer, a “friend”, Said he’d take them “off her hands” for $1000. She said sh’e think about it. She was telling us about it at church and I said “Claudia, I have no idea what guns Dave had, but I’ll give you $2000 right now. How about you let me take them to a gun shop I trust and see what I can do for you”. She agreed and I went by to pick them up a couple days later. Rockola M1 carbine, a couple model 12’s, an Anshutz .22 mag and a couple others. LGS gave her $3700 for the “$1000” guns. Too many want to take advantage of widows who don’t know better.

Reasons why I don't sell or trade firearms! I rarely trade-in vehicles when I get new 1's. When I do a trade-in and they talk about this 1 is this price and the other is this price I tell them that's meaningless and don't care if the trade-in is 50k and new 1 is 80k I only care about the difference. Probably a reason I need a bigger safe.
