I need to remember this when i feel sorry for myself.

Hellcat

70 years in an iron lung!!!!! Never walking, never using your arms, not even able to be pushed around outside in a wheel chair.

Omg spend 70 years lying in a tube in the same room basically.

Give that man credit he still lead a productive full life.

This quote reminds us to be grateful for what we have and not take life's treasures for granted!

Once, when my feet were bare, and I had not the means of obtaining shoes, I came to the chief of Kufah in a state of much dejection, and saw there a man who had no feet. I returned thanks to God and acknowledged his mercies, and endured my want of shoes with patience . . ."

thank God there are and will always be medical advancements.

what bothers me is that, here in the states and many other "advanced" countries, many diseases have been either totally or nearly wiped out....

but.......let's bring in the immigrants/migrants, from other undeveloped countries, where those very same diseases are still going strong, and not only that, but have morphed into stronger strains......that "modern day medicines" are having a tough time wiping out.

i recall reading about this, some time ago, and i do believe Polio was one of them
