I remember doing it as kid. Only time I do it now as an adult is when I go to my MCL meeting.

my buddy has grand kids in catholic school, and they still pledge each day, as well as a prayer.....

my buddy said he would contact the ACLU, and would get involved and sue to high hell if anyone got involved with that school system.

my buddy takes no prisoners like me and many others about someone telling us what to do, in a private school system.

It should be in school, period. Also there should be a flag in every classroom. I don’t care what political views or anything else people have, it shouldn’t have been taken out. We “all” live in this country. It’s sad that politics plays into so much in every day life.

One question for you. What kinda government do we have?

Also, Texas State Law is the pledge everyday with a min of silence. Students my opt out to not say the pledge though.

When I started school (early 60s) the Pledge and Lords Prayer started each day. I don't think it was mandatory even then but all classmates/parents thought (upbringing) it was the right thing.

Yes, Mainstays at Rodeo. Prayer, Pledge, Anthem. I have noticed if you are not in your seat when the Anthem starts but stop on the concourse,remove your Hat and face a monitor others (not all) will do the same. The main rodeo I attend the Vendors do a good job of not selling during this time.

i knew exactly what you meant...i had seen it a time or two myself.

but i also recall someone, maybe Red himself, say the pledge straight on, with no other narrations to the words.....
