This is just me venting. I want a shootable BOLO. Id prefer 9mm but I can live with 30 Mauser. It doenst have to be cosmetically beautiful just safe to shoot. Honestly if I fire more than 100 rounds through it, that will probably be a lot. I dont care if its been shot out and sleeved or heck even if its "smooth bore". I dont care if its German, Spanish or Chinese.

I just want one as a shootable "fashion statement". Id love to carry one on a late 19th century historical inspired hunt, as in how cool is that". I wanted a Howdah too; but I finally scratched that itch

You should of had that itch 20 yrs ago. They were ALWAYS listed in the shotgun news rag for super cheap. Just for clarification I'm not referring to the Chinese made copy. I remember seeing them listed from $150 south to $100.
 
Yep I remember back in the 80s when a huge batch came in. They were imported by Oyster Bay Imports and selling for $350 in decent shooter grade. That name stuck with me because it was where Teddy Roosevelt lived. Now the ones Im seeing start at $1000 for crap. Some even say DO NOT SHOOT for that price and go upwards of $5000. My want is in the sub $1K range.

I know Im being silly. I have a full size C96 that I got for a steal because the relining wasnt done right. I had it "fixed" but bullets tumble at the muzzle. Still it is cool
