I wouldn't even know where to start if I were to tell you the things I've seen here over the past ~4ish years. A leftist city council succeeded in running off the liberals and now something extremely far of left runs this city. All of the true LE officers have moved on and have been replaced with dudes that have man buns. The female officers are scarier then the presumably male officers. My better half will not go anywhere without me anymore. And I pack everywhere I go. The sad part is if god forbid I ever have to defend myself, I will be the one going to jail.

I called the police two times since I've lived here. The first time the cop called and said he had to wait for backup because the loon we called about was armed. Half hour later the cop drove away and absolutely nothing was done.

The second time I called, the cop never came. I called again and dispatch told me the cop reported the issue had been resolved. I told dispatch a cop never even showed up. So guess what happened? The cop came and told the person I called about that I am the person that made the complaint.

Antifa is real. I didn't believe it initially. However, "Coptifa" exists in Portland Oregon.

back in the November primary, a Socialist ran for the mayors office.

I am a registered independent, but i vote RED....there was no RED candidate, so i voted for the incumbent Blue mayor.

i will stay as an independent for life, so i can VOTE OUT the BLUE scum, either in the primary or in the November general election.

however, that Socialist won the primary....my vote did not count to keep him out.

come Tuesday, i will of course vote for the RED runner....a totally unknown, even though he was on the city council for years.

but i fear the Socialist will win.

the DUMB FOOKS that want that Socialist, are the stupidest people on earth and have NO IDEA on WHAT DA FOOK they are doing.

The Socialist runner claimed at one time, he wanted to defund the police, but now he says he won't.

I just spent 20 minutes typing out this big, long, detailed post about all the times I called the cops during the Lockdowns and how they told my over and over and over again how my call was liw priority and the weren't coming.

Then I decided whatever was happening when I called wasn't what was important. What was important is that my call wasn't a priority and I was on my own until there was an available cop.

I'm going to tell one story though. witnessed a shooting outside my home one night. I called it in and it took 20 plus minutes for the cops to show up for a priority call.

I don't care what you've got going on it's going to be long over before the cops show up.

As someone from Illinois that learned from Chicago. There’s a reason I don’t like the bigger cities (I don’t want to explain about because not a lot of people would understand).

If Oregon is anything like Illinois, the political left is concentrated in the bigger cities (like Chicago and Portland). There’s a reason me and my mom are a good 100 miles away from Chicago because it’s a different world out here. Yes I’m an Independent as for voting (I think the system is a double headed snake) but do lean more right than anything in a Jerrymandered state that is set up for the political left (both sides do it and don’t get fooled about it).

What got me to finally get my CCL was when I got pulled over by a state trooper (yes in Illinois) and we started talking about it. He mentioned to go for it. Honestly it was the best thing that happened.
