I wonder if GI parts can be interchanged?Along with the SDS/Tisas 1911A1 "ASF-only" version, the Inland Manufacturing 1911A1 are the really the only accurate reproductions of the WW2 Remington-Rand 1911A1.

The other SDS & other manufacturers' so-called "Mil-Spec" versions deviate from the above with lowered ejection ports, sights, triggers, etc. although they outwardly resemble a WW2 1911A1.
There is a notable price difference because the SDS/Tisas is Turkish-made, vs. US-Made (Ohio) for the Inland Manufacturing.

SDS wanted the ASF model has close to the Original RR as possible so I imagine USGI parts would interchange.I wonder if GI parts can be interchanged?
