Interchangeable magazines

(including XD Mod.2 or Mod.3). While both are manufactured by Springfield Armory, they utilize different frame designs, magazine dimensions, and catch locations, making them incompatible without modifications.
  • Hellcat Series: Magazines (11, 13, 15, or 17-round Pro mags) are designed for micro-compact/compact, high-capacity, narrow-grip frames.
  • XD Mod.3/XD Series: Uses a different, typically wider grip frame designed for standard XD magazines, such as the 16-round capacity for 9mm models.
  • Compatibility: Hellcat magazines will not lock or feed correctly in an XD Mod.3, as the grip widths and magazine release locations differ significantly.
For reliable function, always use magazines specifically designed for the Springfield XD/XD Mod.3 series.

I have an XD9 Mod 3. That and my original XD9 Service (4") use the same magazines. That's about it. Do you have an optic planned for your Mod 3? Thanks for joining us.
