IRS refund speedssssssssss

We pay. Every. Year.
If you pay an affordable amount you're doing fine. Breaking even is best, but plus or minus say $500 is ok. No point in giving the bastards a year long interest free loan.

I'm still peeved about my bonus. They usually let us know when it's coming a month out. Last year they gave us 3 days notice. Too late to go exempt on federal tax. They took $900 in federal tax. My darling wife, a CPA, informed me I would pay it one way or the other. I beg to differ though. See my bonus every year is mine and mine alone. It doesn't go into the budget. I pay for Christmas and the rest I blow on guns usually. So I asked her when the last time we got a tax return was. Blank stare. Then I asked her when the last time we got a tax return and she gave me a grand and said blow it on guns was. Blank stare. I want my F'in $900.

I hear you my bonus goes the same way. We are under a grand with the Fed, it is the state that kills us every year no matter what we do to try and circumvent it.

We've had ours for over a week.
Got a refund, but it's going to car repairs.
But, that's ok.
We always buy a car that the annual inspection (required in PA) is due in like March or April
Then we have tax return money to fix the car with "free money"
Our car will be paid off in October then we'll start saving the car payment money towards the downpayment on the next car

being retired, i don't get refunds any more.

and when the wife and i DID get refunds..??

the feds were always early.

as for my state, some of us here were lucky to get our refunds by september.....no lie.

one year, wife got hers in august, and mine was in September.

seems like every freaking year, the state never has enough money in thier bank account to pay us, and we NEVER get any interest on the money THEY OWE US.

but i can assure you, that if WE MISS the deadline to pay what we owe...??

they never notify us, for at least 4 months, and then add in all that interest on the original taxes due...

sumsabeaches.......
