Is .40 S&W really dying?

Found a Gen 5 G23 yesterday, $589 + tax. Oooohhhhh I am so tempted.

I'll be thinking about it all weekend..............

Personally I have the G23 and kinda regret it since I did find the S&W M&P .40 metal version shortly after taking possession of the G23.

I still have the paperwork to get a brick for 330 bucks. I’m not sure if I’ll use it at because it’ll be a hassle on waiting months and the transfer fees.
