Is anyone else fond of offerings from Argentina?

Bersa is offering AR-15 rifles as well as handguns. Their army gets great service from them and They have some great 1911 pistols that come from their US plants.

Here's some Argentine guns for ya.
FM (Fabricaciones Militares) of Argentina was a government owned arms maker from 1941 until about the 1990s. They basically made clones of popular military arms for the Argentine Military and later for civilian sales. They made the famous Sistema 1927 1911 copy, Fal rifle clones and M3 submachine guns, but chambered in 9mm.
They were famous for their Hi-Power clones and were for a long time the only factory making the shorter 4" barreled Detective Model. I have one of the FM Detective Model Hi-Powers and its a great pistol.

People forget that the founders of Bersa used to engineer firearms for Beretta. Bersa makes some great pistols. (I have four of them and not one has missed a beat.)

I have been considering buying one of these.

This is their full-size 9mm pistol. I believe the Argentinian military carried these.

DA/SA action, alloy frames, 5"-barrel, smooth DA, 17+1 magazine capacity, less recoil than the TPR9 with a 4.25" barrel (due to greater slide/barrel mass) and lower cost than the Beretta M9.

What could be better?

FALs were made by Imbel under license with FN tooling and not a clone

I love my Bersa Thunder .32. I can do the many only wish they could do with their Walther PPK in .380. I have two Thunder .380's and a Thunder .32.

Talk about a SCORE! My Thunder .32 has no lock hole on it. I'm certain that it was made for the home market.

The Walther was designed to function with the hot European 7.65mm Browning loads. They were built to launch the 71-grain FMJ projectiles at about 1000 fps. These yielded about 157 foot-pounds of energy. Focus this on a .312" diameter area, and it penetrates better than the 9mm Browning (.380 ACP).

I also have a Walther PP in 7.65mm Browning. I can dump a magazine of European-level ammunition "quick as a wink" in an area the size of a teacup at 3 yards.

It works for me.
