Hi there,
I wouldn't really call this a "range report". It's just a couple of guys having a little fun after church last Sunday. Every once in a while the music director (and keyboard player) on the worship team will join me at the range after we play in church. He's been looking into expanding his small collection so I let him shoot a few of mine.
We shot my Echelon 5.28 Threaded, XDM Elite Precision 5.25, and Glock G17L. Josh is thinking about buying a Glock. We took turns on this target. I'd stuck on a few shoot'n'see stickers just for fun.
Toward the end of the session I wanted to get a little bit serious so I challenged Josh to a marksmanship contest.
For our last target we'd put a magazine on the silhouette to see who had the better group. This was Josh's target.
He mentioned something about "taking off the bad guy's shoulder", but I think he was fibbing. I ripped through my magazine and my target came back looking like this.
Yeah, a little more centered but pretty much the same spread. We both shot my Glock at the last target. I should get a holster for this unit. It would be fun in a steel challenge. We also ran a few magazines through Josh's Sig Mosquito. I can see why it has its reputation. I don't know why Sig would put their name on a low-end GSG product. Although it had no malfunctions, the only thing I would use it for would be for training new (young) shooters.
Anyway, we had our fun. Next time Josh's wife wants to go to the range. I told her, "Just leave Josh with the kids and I'll take you." I think she might take me up on it. I'll let you know.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
