Kitchen knives

What does everyone use in the kitchen for knives. We have several I have made but our main kitchen knife set is the set we bought for our wedding.

Wilkinson sword brand knife set. Still in great shape and take a great edge.

Yeah being a knife geek I could go a lot nicer and more expensive but these have worked great for almost 45 years, not broke dont fix it.

I am a Henckels fan. Have their top tier for 20 yrs now.
Also use some homemade knives from a friend

Unlike most of our friends I went and picked a very nice set to start with, knowing they would last.

I’m not allowed to use knives in the kitchen, last time I did I really cut my finger bad, didn’t even know I did till I saw blood on counter, knife was that sharp, wife said no more knives for me!

growing up my mom had this set of wilkinson sword knives. it replaced the "hodge podge" of spoons that identified as knives in the drawer.

Well played. A quick cut from a sharp knife keeps you out of the kitchen for a lifetime.

Those knives have nice looking handles but they don't look like they would cut very well.

hahahaha... those are the knives in their holder/sharpeners. the gimmick with this set was that each time you pull the knife out it passed along a sharpener. as i remember, they worked pretty good for a while. i think i still have the set in my basement somewhere after cleaning out my parent's house.

I use J. A. Henckels knives. I don't like long blades so ....

I also have a few Old Hickory by Ontario knife Co.

6" butcher
6" boning
3" paring x2

Another vote for Henckels here. And they have a lifetime warranty and excellent customer service

Found these in my travels decades ago, left behind in junkyard cars…

Area52, your Ka-Bar has that been there done that look about it. These have lived a charmed life.
