his office called me while i was eating lunch.

they gave me the call back number..

i was # 74 in line...yup, no BS...# 74 to wait

i will call back some other time

and i tried 3 times now, to make an appointment online, as per thier recording....

the doctor i was referred to...???

is not available.....


like WTF..........

monday, is another day.
 
well his office closes at 4:30 today..

so, what i just did about 15 minutes ago, was enter the call back selection, and before the office calls, they will call me back....all call back people, get that call then.

even if they can't get me in until say December or even February as well, it'll be ok..i'd be looking to get thru winter and snow removal anyways, and not have to worry about that crap piling up, for my boys to handle.

i still have to wait for this recent "shot" to run out and right now, that's at 85 days........

then, if i get at least 1 gel shot from him, that's "up to" 6 months till that runs its course.

yes, the doctor shortage is all too real everywhere.
 
Let me pile on if I may...take a look at your EOB's the charges for a simple office visit in which you were pulled back into a room awaiting the dr. 20 to 30 mins. later if you are lucky. Total BS. No wonder the healthcare system is going broke...someone needs to cap these astronomical outpatient charges. The medical profession is abusing Medicare and other supplemental coverages.

Yeah, they book a patient every 15 minutes and see maybe a every 30. I going to start charging them for my time and see how they like it.

the office just called me, and i see the specialist's PA on the 26th....so in just over another week from now.

i may or may not get the gel shot, my other doctor said BOTH can be taken, however, the current doctor did also mention, these specialists like to wait till the current steroid shot runs its course.

i'll find out more later.

I've heard different stories about the shot and having to wait 90 days before having the surgery. In my case, my knee doctor was the one giving me the shots. And he was also the surgeon who did my operation. He told me I had to wait the 90 days. And he is considered one of the best orthopedic surgeons in South Texas. It turned out well for me, as waiting those 90 days before surgery put me right at the time my wife was coming up on her school spring break. She works for a school district. So she was able to be around for the surgery and the beginning of the recovery period, when they don't want you to be alone in case you fall or hurt yourself.
 
Yep, enjoy our socialized medical industry folks. Wait until they start deciding who is, and who isn't worth treating. One of my older brothers is an MD. The things he tells me appalls me. And the direction he predicts we're headed is terrifying. The ACA totally screwed me. And what they've got planned for us will be the death of a bunch of us, literally.

or....better known as...

"the have....and have NOTs".....

only the young, healthy and productive will get what is needed.

so with the past 2 maybe 3 generations of youth now...how is thier actual "productiveness been"..????

does this mean

1) more participation trophy's..??

2) more USB or solar charging devices for their Smart Phones..??

3) more Xboxes and PS2's...to dawdle on...???


oh sure...the "future youth and leaders of America"....

sure looks bright from where i'm sitting. (sarcastically saying)

seems to me, the wrong people will survive the apocalypse.
