Kuna Mags…interesting.

Got my mags in the mail, took a few weeks, but I knew that coming into how hot these are selling.
Overall construction looks to be the same, but… I can no longer stuff 31 rounds in, 30 is maxed out.
That’s either using my loader or by hand.
When I have more time, I’ll take one apart and compare the spring and follower.
I know I have the same question as many…will they last, what is different, and I can only say time will tell.

Springfield customer service did me right and treated me outstanding.

Next weekend I have a range day outdoors at a friends.. and I’ll finally get to stretch my legs past 25 yards with it.

Long term…new mag reliability, no idea yet. But, put around 400 or so down range yesterday, mix of 124 and 147, suppressed and open. To be 100% clear, new mags, cracked old mags, ZERO feed/malfunctions of any kind.
My goal was to see if the 124 gr reloads I shoot (Ammunition Planet Oak Island) were subsonic, sorry to say they’re not.
But their 147s are :)

I’m roughly at the 1100 to 1200 round count through mine. I ran it hard yesterday, a few mag to mag to mag dumps.
Ran it through about 300 rounds of 147 (ran out..lol) suppressed, then took the can off and ran a few mags of 124.
Rang steel 8 inch steel plates out to 50 yards effortlessly.
Tomorrow… is cleaning day.. both for the pistol and the can. Garage therapy.

It is the most fun firearm to shoot in my safe right now.
Mag Shack has mags back in stock, I picked up 4. I wonder if they’re the same part number as the 4 I just received direct from SA as warranty mags. I’ll report back.

4 new from Mag Shack have the identical part number as those I received under warranty from SA.
I’ve got 10 mags, all numbered/lettered. As noted, the new 4 from SA and the new 4 from MagShack can only load 30 rounds instead of 31.. I’ll have to take a look at the springs and followers.

I loaded them all up full and am gonna let them sit in the range back until the next time.
But.. I am looking forward to a Magpul or other aftermarket, just because.

Still a flawless pistol for me shooting it, but on a different note, I gotta get a new routine for cleaning the can.
I’m going with a Breakthrough soak next time. Took nearly 3 hours to clean the pistol and can earlier this week..lol.

I’m going to give it a strict diet of Syntech 150s to compare dirty/clean compared to the Oak Island ammo I’ve been running through it as well.
