Kuna with Longer barrel ?

I would like to see a Kuna with about a 8-8.5" barrel. I understand the current 6" barrel is to have as compact PDW as possible but leaves really only enough room for a hand and little more up front. With a 8-8.5" barrel it would give it more velocity but then they could extend the handguard and rail to give more space for accessories like lights and lasers. They did this with the 9mm Saint Victor. They came out with the 5.5" but there was just barely enough room for a hand and then they added a 8.5" model which allows more room for accessories. What y'all think?

PSA did that with their PCC.
 
Well I guess there are PDWs and PDWs. You arent wrong in your desires, HK went the opposite way with the MP5 and the MP5K.. I tend to classify the 8-10inch SMGs as "GoToWar guns and the shorter versions as (more) concealable options for Before the War operations

I run a RMR on my MP5K PDW and a light/IR Laser on my full size MP5; but most of my SMGs are older designs (VZ61, Sterling, STEn, Colt SMG 635/633) and dont have any optic or light. I do see the value of lights/lasers but part of me thinks we take small lightweight guns and strap on boat anchors
 
I can see a longer Kuna barrel for certain applications. Personally, I like it the way it is for more concealment as a bag gun and easier manipulation in confined spaces, like a vehicle. Because I'm mounting a 4.1" suppressor I don't need any more barrel length.

Additionally, my intended use for the Kuna is running CQB drills, most within the 50-yard range, as you would with a submachine gun, upon which the firearm was based.

The suggestion would add just 2".

They make one. It’s called an SP-5. 😎
