My respects to the soldiers and families of all who are left these days. You never get the respect you should and I guess I'm guilty of it to even though I try not to be. I was born in 1951 in a city that abuts Fort Campbell, KY so I was raised from Day-1 to have a great deal of respect. Even now, 75 years later, I still have that respect even though there is nobody left to tell me I have to. These days I do so because I want to and it's the right thing to do. You guys are the heroes I have always had.V-E Day (victory in Europe) May 8, 1945, marked the beginning of world-wide celebration of the end of World War II.
Read the post. It did not remotely suggest that 05/08/1945 was the END of WW II. V-E Day, Victory in Europe, begun celebration on that date. V-E Day.VE Day was not the end of WWII.
