Let the Debate Begin! Best CCW of 2026 Ariticle…

I have the Sig 226 XCarry Legion and it is very nice. A great update to the P226. Accurate to a fault as per all 226s. I carry it in a Legacy Firearms Cronus IWB with the Sig Loc Pro optic. It’s very easy to conceal with an 18 rd capacity.

I think when most best carry lists are made they tend to look at Echelon priced guns, not $1400 niche market guns.

They did list the CZ Shadow which is bigger than the XCarry. BTW, thanks for the holster tip. Looking for another one for a better fit.

I really don't think anything can top the Bodyguard 2.0 when it comes to EDC. It's the size and weight of a modern cellphone and we all know none of us would consider leaving the house without our precious cellphones. And I really don't think 12+1 .380acp is anything to sneeze at and would make even your most dedicated two legged threats change their mind at the very least if it doesn't stop them cold. Plus the magazines are tiny, you can easily carry 1-2 reloads along with the gun. It's extremely versatile and allows me to feel armed without feeling weighed down at all.

The Glock 45, 9MM made a hit with the Texas Game Wardens, it is their duty weapon now. Texas DPS I believe is still with the M18, with optics at this time.

Hi,

I'll add to the chaos again! How about the best Glock to carry?

The Gen 6 is starting to look pretty good, but I already have a Glock. One is enough for me. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

That’s an easy question….Glock 32, Gen 4, .357 Sig!

None is plenty for me, that's what's nice is having a choice.

Not false , if you carry the debate to the extreme .

But it would be orders of magnitude better to have Your Preferred
Choice of Micro Nine , Mini .380 , Aluminum or polymer .38 in your pocket instead .
I’m not by any means advocating a tiny .22 SA revolver-however it beats a sharp stick. My only point is if you “carry” then ACTUALLY Carry-whatever you choose But carry always.

Whew! Good thing CZ Shadow 2 Carry was on there! Only one on there I have, or ever fired. Unfortunately for this author I have a few other handguns that conceal and carry much better - yet aren’t on the list 😂. I have nothing against the CZ Shadow 2 Carry, other than it weighs 42.7 oz loaded. Even with a solid belt and holster, it’s quite noticeable, weight wise. I do absolutely love shooting it though!

Twenty Two Rimfire? No. A fine killer, but a poor stopper. And the object is to STOP the threat. If one is that recoil sensitive, try the KelTec PMR 30 in 22 magnum. I won one at a NRA Benefit Dinner and despite what the Interweb says about KelTec mine has never missed a beat. Admittedly I am on about 700 rounds in. I gave it to my mother, it is loaded in the kitchen. My old man is 85 and still carries a Detective Special. Old Me is right, what works for you is the right answer. Just make sure you carry. Most of us on this forum seem too old to go hands on anymore!

Welcome to the forum from the Wild Wild Upper Midwest. Glad you found us. There's quite a few old guys around here. I like to call it "extended existence". :p

My EDC for a lot of years was a Sig Sauer C3 1911 .... With a extra 10 round CM magazine. Carried it in a leather OWB holster

Then I got old and swapped to P365xl and a CZ P-10C both with optics. Both carried in a Safariland Species AIWB Holster
