Librela For Dogs

Was wondering if anyone here gives their dogs Librela injections for arthritis pain. Maggie is not responding well to doggy aspirin. If so does it work and is there any reactions. Thanks
You need to research this as much as you can and ask you vet plenty of questions.
Many of these drugs bring up a whole host of other problems while combating the issue it is prescribed for.

true that..

just like human medications have more side effects that are worse then the problem can be/ WILL be for us humans, can be/WILL be an issue for her.

can you check with at least 1 more vet..????

i mean i just did a quick google search and came up with this......

Yeah that's why I asked if anyone was using it on their pups.

we don't want our pets to be in pain, and we'd rather suffer for them.

but as with human meds, for crying out loud, there are so many side effects with so many medications..

given the age of the animal, there hopefully is a much better alternative.

Okay I'll be the son of a (B)witch and say it. Sometimes we as responsible pet owners have to do the hard thing, no matter how much it tears us up inside. I feel guilty because so many cats and dogs need a loving home, but I have no intention of having a dog again, or any cats after these are gone. Enough is enough, I just can't stand the sorrow and Pain of losing them.

i will say... very heartfelt
our Jetta the belguim mix was diagnosed with cushings april of 25, by sept the side effects of meds and the actual disease wiped her out
the above dermitolgy issues were the same as this med... she would loose chunks of fur, right down the bare skin
then next day that spot would get infected... treat it and it went away. then a few days later boom another spot somewhere else and go through the same treatment. sept of last year it got bad bad bad fur would roll up like a scalp you see in movies and then the infection would eat right through her skin ...
if we had known the meds would be that horrible, we would sadly let her go alot sooner
and never mind the urinary changes, IMMMEDIATE i got to pee dad!.. boom right out of the blue, she would run to the door yelping holding it in
or worse be sleeping and wake up running as she had just peed all over herself and the floor or her bed
then a bath and next day repeat... it go so bad we could not leave the house and her alone as she would have to go RIGHT NOW and she was not one to take lightly having accident.
and constant THIRST...

its hard to say goodbye, but vets need to be a bit more honest and maybe we as the human should understand it better
but it really hurt watching her go so fast
