After a couple years letting my body heal I have to go back to adventure. Bought some new trad climbing and ice climbing stuff to go back to ouray and started humping the mutant pack up the little hills around rochester mn to start training for aconcogua. Moving back home to recoup had been good but life cant stop even in the late 50s. Time in central America and the sandbox was interesting but time to live again. Life is to short to stay on my bavk for long. My swede ancestors wouldnt like me going out quiet

Hi,

After a couple years letting my body heal I have to go back to adventure. Bought some new trad climbing and ice climbing stuff to go back to ouray and started humping the mutant pack up the little hills around rochester mn to start training for aconcogua. Moving back home to recoup had been good but life cant stop even in the late 50s. Time in central America and the sandbox was interesting but time to live again. My Dad ingrained into me a couple of wise nuggets:

Use it or lose it.

It's better to wear it out than to let it rot.

It's good to stay active. I don't let aches and pains slow me down. I'll be 69 in a few weeks and still stay active, exercise, yard work, runnin'n'gunnin' at the range, traveling, volunteering, hauling gear to play my gigs, etc. I might not live longer but my goal is to live better. I hope you keep up the good work. Best of health to you.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Good on you. Simple fact is we all die. To me it’s not quantity of life but Quality of life that matters. I’m 75 and have been blessed with a wonderful life. My plan is to continue to enjoy it until the Good Lord calls me, and I’m doing my best to make sure there will be no regrets or things left unsaid.
