Lifetime Hunting/Fishing License

How many of you are carrying around a lifetime hunting/fishing license? You know you have reached the pinnacle from days gone by when you now own one. A one-time grab and no expiration date...well I say that with tongue in cheek.

my state "offers" a permanent license for free, at the age of 65, however, each year I must renew it to get it (via email) ...it does not say permanent on it

personally too, i haven't put a line in the water for like many years now.

but i get it, in case the grand kids want to go.

In PA the cost is $0 once you're 65 y.o. includes all small game, buck tag and fall & spring turkey. Additional tags do cost though.

Texas has that. I think it cost $1800. It also offers disabled veterans over a 50% rating a combo fishing and hunting license for free, but that has to be renewed every year. I don't do any of those, as I no longer hunt and never really cared much for fishing.

Got my Idaho one before I left, unfortunately Big Sky Country doesn't offer one.

Got one for here in Minnesota. Got those 10,000 lakes to fish.

I am also looking forward to turning 62 in January so I can get my American the Beautiful National Pass for $80!

AZ has pioneer license, but I think you have to be a resident for 50 years to qualify, I'd have to check again.

Got my NC hunting, fishing salt and freshwater lifetime license the day I hit 50.
Soap box moment. As a Gen x’er, I’m not there yet but am of the opinion if you’re of the age to draw Social Security (60+) you have paid your dues. Basic Hunting and fishing license should be $0.00 with valid Identification.
