Lone survivor walks away from India crash

From the vid I saw they didn't have the flaps deployed for take-off, thus a heavily-loaded aircraft didn't have enough lift for a proper climb after takeoff.

= Pilot error

Potentially.
There could be about 2 dozen things that would cause that plane to go down based on video showed of the plane taking off .
Flaps alone wouldnt cause that with enough power, and that 787 has power

Gear was down also.

Read it was pretty quick after take off the “mayday” was called. one black box found but not the recorder.

Summary

  • A preliminary report into the Air India crash last month casts light on the pilots' actions
  • Both fuel control switches - which are used to turn the engines off - were moved to the cut-off position, the report says
  • It says that in the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he "did the cut-off". The other pilot, it says, responded that he did not do so
  • It is not specified which voice is which. At the time the aircraft took off, the co-pilot was flying the plane, while the captain was monitoring
At best - Incompetent Pilot error + no takeoff flaps set.

At worst (likely) - Terroristic Sabotage
