Low recoil.308

I don't have a load recipe, but more of a gas system and chamber recipe. Shooting m80 and 180's in a m118 chamber is low felt recoil.

I shoot a 1984 Tikka M55 Deluxe with a 1" Pachmayr pad on it. Running 180 Remington SP Core Lockt I've never noticed the recoil. It's my primary hunting rifle, I've tried all different types of loads through it over the years, and I keep coming back to the Remington rounds. The gun is more accurate than I'm capable of shooting. I've done three rounds touching at 100 yards, surprised even myself.

Any one got a good recipe for low recoil 308. Just target loads
What twist rate is your barrel, you will need that info so you can pick the pills you want to shoot, which will then determine the powder.

I have a good sub load for my MRAD but its a 1/7 twist shooting 190's. My 1/11 twist won't stabilize anything over 175, but at a sub velocities it won't stabilize the 175's, not fast enough twist .

Uh-huh.

Because 175gr SMK’s aren’t one of the most accurate rounds you can run out of a .308, right?

Good grief.
Same in an aught six of win mags. The SMKs were made as M118LR. Not subsonic at all.
Ive got 4k of them here, they do not fire well in anything we have tried from win mags to ARs.
We used A-Max, they are right up there with the SMKs AND they jellify bone. something the SMKs do not do.

SMK is a FMJ target bullet, not designed for sub expansion. Are we talking bullets to hunt sub sonic?
Bullets that stabilize sub sonic?
Or a load for low recoil?
