M1A Anniversay rifle

The safety on the M1A can be stiff, especially on new rifles, and may pinch the trigger finger or fail to engage smoothly if there’s interference with the hammer or trigger group.

The two-stage precision-tuned trigger in the 50th Anniversary M1A (4.5-5 lbs. break) may have tight tolerances or manufacturing burrs causing binding.
Solution: Disassemble the trigger group (refer to the included technical manual) and inspect for burrs, debris, or misalignment. Clean thoroughly and lubricate lightly. If the issue persists, professional inspection may be needed.

If the issues persist, reach out to Springfield Armory’s customer service via their website (www.springfield-armory.com) (www.springfield-armory.com) or the contact information in the included technical manual.
