I want to camo paint my Scout Squad, is there a trick to removing the upper handguard?

Remove the trigger group and stock... On the left-hand side of the rifle, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up on the handguard just rearward of the handguard clip. The handguard clip will release easily.

That worked like a charm! I kinda wish I hadn't put that scope mount on it before I did this, but I got er done.
Now for the camo paint.
