M1A Trigger

Here's a link to a tutorial on working on an M1/M1A trigger.

Unless you're an experienced gunsmith I'd call Fulton, Wolfe or LRB.

Great article however…….
Something I would never do on my M1A Standard even though I spent 20 years making bolt action rifles.

"Crazy-Hard" is subjective...do you have a trigger gauge? What pull-weight is it you describe? 4-pounds to me is pretty decent, but to a 2lb trigger-guy it might be "crazy-hard"....

My M1A standard-loaded came with a trigger that registers between 3.9 and 5.1lbs and I love it (Wheeler digital)...

Smith Enterprise offers an excellent trigger upgrade service.
You can save $25.00 with the purchase of a USGI trigger shoe.
