Maduro getting spanked it's ON!!!!

At first, I have to admit I was disappointed. This is not the “no new wars” we were promised, and this could only bite him in the…Biden.

Then some details came out and it looks like a law enforcement operation. A very well done LE op.

They went into the capitol city of a country, snatched the illegitimate dictator, and blew out of there in 30 minutes with no deaths and few casualties?
Hell yeah!

I’ll also say this:
These kinds of operations don’t get done by a WOKE military like our last administration aspired to building.

I read an unconfirmed report that the mausoleum where Former Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez is buried was destroyed by a attack…..OOPS

Guess they ain’t playin

The people from that country seems very happy... right or wrong, I don't know... but it took Bush 8 years to capture Husan, and only 4 hours for Trump to do this... I'm impressed with our military folks.

lol

Ahh did he hurt ur feelings. Just say thanks ... LOL always one.. With that huge success he can ramble on as much as he freakin wants. Biden did.. on the rare occasion he even talked to the press
My point is/was that he starts out talking about how brave the servicemen is and turns it into how great he is. I think the op was a fantastic idea and well executed…well and good…but stop there. Spent too much time in the Nam and later wearing a badge to get too het up about a comment from a stripling.😃

The Donkeys in Congress are crying that DJT needed a formal declaration of war to do this.

The U.S. has formally declared war 11 times across five major conflicts: the War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Spanish-American War, World War I, and World War II, with the last declaration being during WWII; since then, Congress has authorized military action through resolutions like the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, and presidents have often acted without formal declarations for conflicts like Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, using other authorizations or presidential authority.
Wars with Formal Declarations (11 Times)
  • War of 1812 (against Great Britain)
  • Mexican-American War (1846)
  • Spanish-American War (1898)
  • World War I (1917)
  • World War II (1941-1942) (against Japan, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania) = 6X just for theses in WW2
Major Conflicts Without Formal Declarations (Examples)
  • Korean War (1950-1953): Authorized by UN resolution, not a formal declaration.
  • Vietnam War (1960s-70s): Authorized by the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution (1964).
  • Persian Gulf War (1990-1991): Authorized by Congressional resolution.
  • War in Afghanistan (2001-2021): Authorized by the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) after 9/11.
  • Iraq War (2003-2011): Authorized by AUMF.
  • Interventions in Panama, Grenada, Libya, Syria, etc. (various): Often conducted under presidential authority or other authorizations, with varying degrees of Congressional involvement.
Why No Declarations Since WWII?
  • Shift to Authorizations: Congress prefers "Authorizations for Use of Military Force" (AUMFs) or UN mandates over formal declarations.
  • Political Costs: Formal declarations carry significant political weight, and leaders avoid them if conflicts go poorly.
  • International Law: Evolving international laws governing armed conflict make formal declarations less common.
  • War Powers Resolution (1973): Attempted to check presidential power but hasn't stopped presidents from acting unilaterally.

To those..."and now you know... the rest of the story"

Fires spew from Fort Tiuna, the headquarters of Venezuela’s armed forces, after midnight on Jan. 3, 2026.

I’ve said for Decades that if Carter had the cajoles to have taken out Iran when they seized the embassy in ‘79 a lot of the BS the world has dealt with in the last 40 years would never have happened. Hopefully this will be a wake up call to all the tinhorn dictators that there’s a new sheriff in town

Agreed. We have owed them a B52 strike or two since 1979, and a lot more since they killed so many of ours in Iraq
