"Global crude oil production hovers around 76-82 million barrels per day (b/d), with the U.S. being the top producer, exceeding 13 million b/d, while OPEC+ nations and other non-OPEC countries also contribute significantly, with recent figures showing around 35-37 million b/d from OPEC+ and over 27 million b/d from others, according to data from late 2024. "

venezuela produces less than 1 million bpd
their oil is not a real world inventory effecting issue
long ago they were doing 6 to 8 million bpd,
so the oil from them until fully ramped up, will not even amount to 1 percent of world supply
soooo it should not swing crude prices higher,

I found an more detailed list and possible who the statement came from.

UPDATE! CONFIRMED: Venezuela Bombshell Intel Drop — Narco General Hugo Carvajal Confesses: CIA-Knowing Election Fraud, U.S. Senators Funded by Narco Regime (FULL LIST)
From what I've heard in the past, its not at all uncommon for a upper level crook to turn on his boss after being caught. Sing like a canary to save his own butt. I don't know if this stuff is true, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Them ramping up would make prices lower, not higher.
i would think so ...yes as the supply becomes diluted and prices drop
just for grins
the only reason the arab oil producing countries like saudis and oman are playing nice, is we as the U.S. dominate production and hence drive prices down
iirc the saudis need 80 dollars a barrel to be liquid for all their programs and other nonsense, so oil hovering in the 60s requires they play nice in the sand as it is

Taking out Maduro is bad news for Russia. Putin is selling ghost oil through Venezuela to launder the money and skirt sanctions. Cut that money off and Putin's ability to finance his military ventures is diminished. Restoring oil production in Venezuela brings supplies up and prices down, impacting Russia and Iran. Is that what Trump has intended from the start? Trump, Rubio, and Hegseth have all said they want Russia, China, and Iran influence out of our hemisphere. Knocking off a corrupt dictator who is sympathetic to them makes it more difficult for them to do business in our backyard. Let's see if dominoes start falling.
