making an hk45 lower

Ok we get that but that is as vague as your first post. I ask to maybe have a better direction to help you but guess you’ll figure it out!

Good luck with that!
i'm confused, how is this vague?

i don't a rifle

i don't want a machine gun

i don't want a shotgun

i don't want a laser gun

i want a handgun

where is the vagueness? what information are you looking for?

Do you have a description of your project that involve more than two words. I’m starting to think you and your HK45 live under a bridge…
i would like to remake the hk45 to have steel lower, 9mm and 20 rounds instead of 10

that is my goal, that is what i would like it to do

I kinda did a quick search for metal grip modules for it and found nothing. if you can't find someone that make a metal one you may not be able to do it.

Ok uo want a handgun, it’s vague because we’re you wanting to keep an45, or make a 10mm which a lot of folks wish from AK, a different caliber I have seen a lot of niche calibers come and go and come back in 49 years (remember 357 TSW 9x23mm 400 Corbon 9x25 Dillion etc)

So hih were vague we get a handgun, hih didn’t mention caliber which of changed can have challenges like ejector angles, extractor breech face specs barrel and pressure range all which probably require a whole different machined slide (which an actual HK45 can handle Super pressure and won’t shoot apart with 45 acp HST plus P’s)

A HK it’s not as simple as making a Gkick 21 in 45 acp a 10mm by just dropping in a new barrel and extractor and calling it good.

So respectfully without mentioning what your end result was you either didn’t know, or didn’t want us to know and it’s hard to make a valid suggestion to helo if we aren’t sure what your wanting specifically.

Again good luck to you

This is the big problem with HK handguns. Aftermarket support is practically non-existent for them. I think this is because of multiple factors: none of the HKs are modular; HK massively over engineers their guns making them hard to work on; the demand just isn’t there from the HK diehards. If you mention putting a third party barrel in an HK you instantly get comments about no polygonal rifling and the barrel not being able to go 150,000 rounds. Really? There is not a desire to deviate from what HK gave them because Germany knows better. And when there is, the answer like Langdon Tactical or iWright is stupidly expensive.

Thanks. So basically you are looking to reinvent the HK45. That’s a tall order. I don’t think HK has a .45 mag even remotely close to a 20 rd capacity. HKParts makes a 13 rd extended mag for the HK45. The USP .45 has a 12 rd maximum. I think you would have to look at designing a lower that can take another brands extended mag - like the 18 rd mag for the FN545. Or perhaps modifying an HK45 lower to take Glock or P320 mags.
