I can't find it but I thought there was a thread on the President's effort to make DC Safe Again. This is a step in the right direction, maybe should be applied to all anti 2A blue states. I'd like to see the streamlining of corrupt DC politicians removal as well...(y)

DJT didn't declare martial law, just asserted limited Federal Control, as per the DC charter, due to the DC Govt. (the party we all know who's in control of DC) incompetent management of DC, just like 98.6% of the other medium/large cities in the US that they control.

More like fries vs. scalloped.

Exactly the same I guess, since Hitler/Stalin/Pol Pot (you know, the real Der Leaders) all facilitated their citizens becoming well armed to protect themselves from rampant crime and thugs roaming the streets…oh, wait…

Seem those regimes actually “disarmed” their populace (similar to the what Democratic Party continues to try doing to the US populace) right before they slaughtered them…

And please study Martial Law, then compare and contrast to actual enforcement of laws already on the books…I’ll help you get started…

I voted for Donald Trump while holding my nose all three times. I cringe every time he opens his mouth to say something. I wouldn't walk across the street to attend one of his rallies. What I do like are his policies and the re-direction he is attempting to correct in our country. He's no politician, he's an anomaly, and I think that's a good thing.

Obviously, folks may not like what he's doing in D.C., but he's doing something to address the rampant crime issues. Apparently, no one else has been willing to tackle it. He is also setting a president, just like he is doing with people who entered our country illegally. I don't necessarily like the new sheriff in town, but I do acknowledge that there is one. While he has a window of opportunity I say get 'er done.
 
I have no trouble with what he did in DC, something needed to be done, but….and I said but, as long as he doesn’t go overboard, which at times he has, just sayin, I kinda dislike how ICE is going around with them, but I can see there point, but I just don’t like that ideal

I don't think they would be doing this under Martial Law (link). in reality it is a dirty grey area where on one hand you have a Mayor, Court System, PD and whole system that is catering to lawlessness. If anything the Martial law is being flipped on those institutions, not necessarily on the citizens of DC. The lawlessness has been going on for so long and so common that just the basic premise that we will enforce laws including small crimes....now seems like a heavy hand.

While we can argue on terms activating NG troops under title 32 isn’t martial law and they are allowed to enforce laws so there is that!

That said DC is a Spexial purgatory as for several years (since like 2001) anyone arrested by DC Oklice are sentenced to Federal BOP custody as the prison for DC Lorton Reformatory was closed in 2001 for ineptness corruption and about everything else.

So while I get the optics could be concerning they have been placing band aids on it for far to long.

And DC inmates aka DC Blacks, DC Crew etc are almost sub human with how they victim is not just DC residence but each other. I delt with many of them for 20 years.
