Yet the teachers expect to be paid for their “protest” day.Many County schools here have been forced to shut down because of the amount of teachers that have called out ; there are not sufficient numbers of subs to fill in.

The "measurement of efficiency " is what the teachers set as their goal. Then they don't teach-they just work at passing THEIR test.Annual contract for anybody in education, dismantle the union, have a measurement of efficiency and effectiveness as a teacher or professor.

The whole thing is going to be a tremendous undertaking, but if we sit around and discuss the difficulty, there will be gridlock and a stalemate and won't be a bloody thing done. All these ideas are great. I just don't see how it would be implemented. There are fifty states that would have to be on board as things are now
