Means of securing a shotgun to a walker

Hi all!
I searched for walker and I see that some of us use walkers but that's about all I could find on my particular topic. I normally get around on crutches. But on the skeet and trap fields I use a walker. I sit on the seat of the walker to shoot and then rotate to the next station by standing up and pushing the walker. I have to hold the shotgun as well as the handles of the walker to get around. And of course, trying to be safe and not point the barrel at anyone!🫤 Sometimes, I use a semi-auto. Sometimes, an over and under. It gets to be tricky holding the gun and maneuvering the walker! (if you can imagine!) Sometimes, my shooting buddies will carry the gun for me. Does anyone know of a means of safely securing a semi-auto or over/under shotgun to the side of the walker? Thanks! (the picture depicts my exact walker. Notice: on the other side of the walker they actually have a little "cup holder" for the end of a cane. Pretty neat but not strong enough for a shotgun)

Could you get a small soft case for shotguns that is designed for a 4 wheeler or such and secure to the leg of the walker ?
I have not searched for that yet, but a quick thought. 🤔🤔🤔

My wife and mother both use walkers of a similar type and I have looked at accessories, but have not seen anything for your issue.

I am wondering if you got some velcro straps if a system might be devised to hold it secure on rhe upright. Or upon the seat with the over under broken open.

Have you considered "The Judge" to carry, it's a 410 shotgun capable pistol?

Good suggestions above, a short case would do it;

You're suggesting unzipping the bag, taking the gun out of the case, firing, putting the gun back in the case, zipping it up, putting the bag on my back and pushing the walker 10 feet away to do that all over again? Thanks, but...lol. (also, you don't shoot skeet with a 410 pistol. Maybe somebody does, I don't know)

Are you able to sling the shotgun across your back or chest using one of these slings? Then take it off when you get to the next shooting station when you shoot. It's quick on and quick off. Not any kind of tactical sling, just something for moving across the shooting range.View attachment 92405
That IS helpful. I appreciate that. Although, I think, yeah, I'm pretty sure, most ranges prefer you to have the action open on any shotgun on the field. It would work on a Semi-auto.

Sorry, missed that in the original post. My reply was toward a self defense weapon. The soft open case, saddle sheath would work attached to the side, but really, why not just sling it around the course.

When I was 18 I shot skeet with a .22 rifle, never tried a pistol but shot skeet on the Army's 7th team in Heidelberg using the Remington 1100, 12 ga.

Possibly. I'm just thinking that maneuvering the walker around might allow the the barrel to be pointed at someone. Even if the gun is open, that's a no-no. For me anyway. When you're not shooting, you're standing in the back keeping score or pulling the birds. You're gonna turn and the barrel will point at someone.

lol, wow! You used a .22 to shoot skeet??? One little bullet for one clay pigeon?! How did you do? Did you ever get 25 birds? That's amazing! A sling would work for the semi-auto, yes. (I'm still amazed at the .22! How far does a .22 bullet travel though?)

Barrel pointed down, breach open, safety first (y)

Honestly guys I wouldn’t want to take walker to any location where a shotgun might be necessary for my safety.

In my opinion. STOP SHOOTING until you figure it out. You endanger yourself and all the shooters on the line as well as any spectators.
It's tough love....Stop !!

I have shot skeet and trap for many years and encountered a number of folks who shot from seated walkers or scooters. One of the best skeet shooters I knew shot a .410 from a seated walker. It can be done safely.
