Micro Guns

Before there were micro-Nines, subcompacts, and whatever, there were truly tiny pistols. The purpose was for extreme deep concealment, situations where being found to be armed could be more than a serious problem.

I had the Kel Tec P3At and then the Ruger copy of it both. I liked the way both carried and shot. But both had the unacceptable habit of dropping the magazine. Sometimes in the holster sometimes a finger would hit the release. It was very tiny and the button was high. I even filed them down and it slowed but never went away.

This article just backs up my view (as well as serious trainers like Bolke and others) in the 13-17oz small guns you just can not beat a DA internal hammer revolver.

Revolvers are not dependent on a certain grip to allow the slide to work because you run it with a your finger. It won’t stovepipe because of a poor grip or fabric getting in the way. Amd can be fired in a pocket as well as it’s about as safe of a design that can be had. While not optimal to violate any safety rules when the fecal matter hits the air rotation device a revolver is more forgiving of such oopseies!

The smallest pistol I’ve ever shot was a Walther PPK/s in 380 ACP. It was actually easy to shoot. I think that would be the smallest I would go. Anything smaller would be uncomfortable for my big hands
First and only gun that ever slide bit me, hard!
