I like that, always preferred the commander length sans beavertail. That's what i learned to shoot pistol with.

Technically, the Champion wasn’t a true Commander, having a 4” barrel; a Commander has a 4.25”.

Have thought about a "Commander" for a long time but all my 1911s are full-sized.
Would send the slide off to Novak for installation of their classic fixed sights, then a "throat & polish" & trigger (if needed) jobs by my gunsmith.
