While the AR 15 , AR 10 are here to stay I am not a fan of them. I am a 1911 , M1 Garand , M1 carbine , and M1A type of guy. I have owned an AR15 and it shot great but I didn't like that twang in my ear every time I pulled the trigger. I sold the AR 15 and bought a marlin model 336 30-30 . I owned a Ruger mini 14 years ago ( bought in 1980 ) and loved that little gun. I would own another mini 14 if Ruger didn't have them priced so high. I now have another AR 15 just because I will not be told I can't.
