Movies with English voice over

Im watching the 2024 version of the Count of Monte Cristo. Its a French production and a pretty good telling of the original story. The actors are all French and it was originally made for a French speaking market. To expand the market an English voice over was added. The dubbing is very good but I keep thinking the sound is out of sync. Its not its the dubbing of English over French speaking actors

On a whole this is pretty good but I seen a few that are just too hard to watch. I really wanted to like the Sisu movies but couldnt get past the voice over

Find the movie "What's Up Tiger Lily?". Woody Allen, back in the 60's when he was funny, bought the rights to a bad Asian James Bond knock off movie and redubbed it. Some really funny bits in there, having changed the movie to be about the agents trying to secure the worlds best egg salad recipe. An over-dubbing cheap laugh masterpiece.

I suspected as much! Still, movies are for fun and that one would certainly push the Nostalgia button. If that is not worth a couple of my hours, don't know what is.

It was/is still a cool story. I recognize some of the locations where they filmed in London and So Afrika in the 1970s was a lot like the US. The story wasnt so far fetched then as it might seem now

Early Bond movies did a real good job of dubbing certain characters. In Thunderball Largo was dubbed by Robert Rietty who also dubbed many other characters in Bond movies and other films. Domino was dubbed also because of Claudine Auger's thick French accent.

I've been a fan of Wild Geese since it came out in 1978. I recommend getting the 25th Anniversary DVD if you can find it. Avoid the TV cut up version at all costs.

But Sisu is where I learned half of my Force on Force moves. 😎

There’s already too many Nazis in America, so I am without a doubt a Finn - who are all pretty hard bastards in their own right
Hard to argue with that.

There was a time when a M28 a bandolier a set of skies and maybe a Suomi Kp/-31 for kicks would have made a fun weekend hunting Reindeer, Wolves, and Russians
