Good article, was an innovative gun. Use pointed out some of the same magazine filling / feeding thoughts as today. Filling to 28-30rnd vs. 32 round full mag.

Growing up watching WWII movies and TV shows the Schmeisser was ever present in German patrols out searching for American GI's to mow down. I grew up regarding it as a symbol of evil, but man would I love to own one!
