I didn't need a 428 cobra jet , with hotter cam , better intake , and bigger Holly carb , in my 1978 3/4 ton Ford 4x4 either but it sure was fun.

When you get right down to it any small 4 cyl. non turbo will get the job of transportation done. For many , such as myself , that just doesn't satisfy.

So the wife was going to try to be awesome and take me gun shopping. She was willing to shell out the almost $1800 for a Kimber Rapide Dawn. I just told her that I can’t shell out that kind of cash for a 9mm. I wasn’t impressed with the Raptor, at least not for $1500 after taxes. None of my goto trusted shops had a stainless Garrison that’s still on my list. After giving it much thought, I ordered another Kimber Stainless II in 10mm for $873 shipped.

I’ve gotten a gun every year for the last 4 years. Those never leave the collection. Got a Blackhawk 45 Colt Bisley, my first full size 1911 a Mac ACII hard chrome in 45, a Cimarron Wyatt Earp Buntline in 45 Colt. This will be the first that’s not a 45. Guess I’m now officially committed to the 10mm cartridge.
