National Rifle Association's Cost of Corruption by Former NRA Director Rocky Marshall

Gun Owners of America, GOA, has been doing the greatest work preserving our 2nd amendment for the past 10 to 20 years. Idk of anything the NRA has done, except ask for more money.

GOA has almost stood alone with Bumpstocks, they are still working on it. I've never heard of the nra making a peep about bompstocks, much less raising a finger.

Besides the GOA, there are probably other local organizations in your area that would appreciate your support.
 
unfortunately, in order for me to belong to my club, NRA membership is required.

long before i knew of any problems they have, i went with the "5 year plan" as not to be bugged by the constant sales pitches.

which i get all the same anyways........asking me to either join or renew....well if the stupid SOB's would actually check, they would see that I AM a member.

for the "record", i do not enter ANY contests the NRA or GOA may have going at any time.....that in of itself, is a plea for more donations.

i understand it takes money to fight for us, or to cure the many diseases, or feed the hungry, etc,etc,etc.... but i've been fed up with any and ALL organizations pleading for money, as it just never ends.

and God forbid we donate via personal check..??

ZAP, BAM, POW......Holy Charities Batman......they sell our names to EVERY stinking organization out there...

donate by cash, or money order, or not at all.........let them solicit....."occupant at 123 Any Street, USA"

There is always somebody with an axe to grind. Just like in national politics, folks complain about elected leadership when the solution is in the ballot box. There are folks willing to give their time and energy to salvaging the NRA, but they have to have membership support (votes) in order to start the process. Rocky Marshall is, I believe, one of those folks along with Frank Tait. But, too many voting members chug along fat, dumb and happy and don’t put out just a little effort to stay informed and use things like bullet voting, etc., to get those people on the board to start the reform process. Further, some disgruntled folks with the resources and wherewithal to do it, start their own organizations and fragment 2A support efforts. Getting folks arguing and fighting with each other (dividing them) works to defeat 2A supporters, people who love the United States, armies, and just about any other force.

I may go down with the NRA ship, but I personally am not giving up. I think Rocky Marshall is about ready to throw in the towel, and I understand his frustration, but I am hopeful it is still not too late.
 
LaPierre won't be buying any more alligator slippers with my dues. The NRA has thoroughly breached the trust of its members, and done so repeatedly for years, and yet it's somehow our "duty" to continue supporting it? It's our fault if the 2A movement is divided? Not a chance in hell - the culpability for any fracturing in the movement lies squarely with the NRA leadership, period.

I support GOA. Weeks after the ATF's pistol brace announcement, you could barely find anything about it on the NRA homepage, after sifting through ads for a truck raffle, a credit union, and a bunch of dumb schwag they are selling. Go to the GOA website on the day after the announcement, on the other hand, and a way to take action and contact your representatives directly on this specific issue was the first thing you saw on their home page. That obvious difference speaks volumes to me.
