Nessmuk trio

Sld1959

Hellcat
One of the things George Washington Sears espoused was the use of three different bladed tools, known in some knife circles as the Nessmuk trio.

They were a double bit belt ax for chopping, a belt knife for hunting and camp chores, and a small folder for delicate work. This combo is something that I have basically used my entire outdoor life, in various iterations.

Choppers.

These are just a few that fill the bill for me. So very many ways...

The small ax is a copy of the original Fort Meiggs belt ax that I made myself. The other, I really do not know where it came from, it was gifted from my wife. Three of those in that picture are my own builds.
