Doing a google search, I came across these:
Headshots change minds...
My thinking (and what I have learned from others with more medical and practical experience), is that a "good" hit is from the eyebrows down to the chin and inside the left/right of the eyebrows. This works for the side and rear as well using the top of ears as an indicator.
Above the eyebrows (Dome of the Head), may still be a good shot BUT it brings the curvature of the bone into the process, and the question of will your round be deflected into play. Plus there is a greater "Lights OUT" potential using the Eyebrow Indicators. Target #3 (red triangle) is more rifle/sniper oriented and so Im told an unnecessarily small target size.
Heres a Counter Terror course I found that may be helpful:
CT Pistol Qualification
• 25 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face in FOUR seconds
• 15 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face in THREE seconds
• 10 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face THREE seconds
• 7 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face THREE seconds
• 5 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face TWO seconds
• 3 Yards: 3 Rounds to the face TWO seconds
***Shooting on the move from 10 Yards (one shot for each step) FOUR rounds to the body, THREE rounds to the face
Total of 25 rounds.
Its not easy, especially if you are used to only taking chest shots. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Start closer if you need but try to work out to 25 yards
