New Echelon

I don’t own one myself - hard to believe right - but I hear nothing but good things. I like the fact that it is so customizable and for the range a 4.5 in barrel is ideal. So if you insist on not buying a VP9F you might as well get an Echelon.

That's a good question. Sadly, I am not "in the know". However, there are a couple of mods here, along with perhaps @xdman, who are much closer to the pulse of Springfield Armory than us regular schlubs. I'm sure they can speculate much better than I can.

I haven't got hands on the 4.5" version, but the 4.0c Comp is the business. YMMV, but for me it is the most ergonomic pistol I've ever shot. It just feels good in the hand and it's easy to get a good grip. I put the Holosun HS507K x2 on it and that's it - ready to go. I expect its larger cousin will be similarly spectacular. My most recent two pistols have been the Echelon 4.0c Comp and the Walther PDP F-series (3.5") and both are homeruns.
