New M1A

Just received a new rifle M1A loaded version. This is my third over the years.

The rifle did not come with the military manual that the others had included in the case. Also, the receiver does not have windage serrations. The muzzle brake was loose. Yikes.

Has anyone had these issues? Did Springfield arms drop the ball on this one or????

I will be mounting a scope on it setup for vintage sniper shooting IE: M21 style so serrations will not be needed but nice to have just because they should be there.

Not happy, will contact Springfield see what they say.

Manual is probably online now as a lot are going to that, Muzzle brake is an easy fix, now about the windage. are you saying there is no adjustment for windage on the rear sight?

Yea, they don’t include manuals now a days, also best to call Springfield up, there email is kinda iffy, congrats on your new gun!

You didnt have perfect days everyday at your job either. No one does. Not a dig, just a fact.
If this is a one off issue. Just that. If there are Lots of those, say like Boeing, its an issue.

I would have never accepted an M1A without the receiver windage serrations if you had to order the rifle, vs. it being in stock and you just went with what your LGS had.

The serrations are not there on the rear of the site. Rifle was ordered online.

Windage is OK, the lines are not engraved on the rear portion of site.

I'd give Springfield a call and see what they have to say.

Yep, i'd call them. surely they didn't miss that process in manufacturing. which anyone can and will make a mistake. they may have a new sight that don't need them. i dunno. call them. they will take care of you.
