New S&W 9mm announced next week??

Well, both @Annihilator and I have their 610 10mm revolver. I believe it only comes in the 6.5" barrel model, so different barrel lengths would be sweet.

Right you are Anni (I just went to the S&W site and they have 4" and 6.5" models). Before, I did a quick search for S&W 610 and that only came back with the 6.5" model page. I should have searched on the product page for the complete model list.

Yeah, my buddy at the LGS told me last week they had the new S&W firearm in but couldn't say anymore. So I know they got at least one. S&W is pretty good that way, at least at the LGS I visit.

Ah! It showed $849 MRSP when I checked last night, now it's $799, I guess that was "special pricing"

Don't "meh" at poly rifles as I have an upper and lower set (AR15) that's been great. It handles the heat better.

1 good thing I've seen is it has a detachable magwell. With that design it'll free up the options on different cartridges. I might get my 11mm after all . Maybe a 50GI in the works?

When I first saw that magwell I thought it was a waste of space with that forward portion looking kinda like the hollow area on the backstrap of a Glock. Now I'm thinking S&W may have designed it that way to leave the option available for longer cartridges down the road. Looks to be enough space for 10mm and 45 acp, maybe even 5.7.
