New S&W (metal)

It appears that S&W have come full circle.
They started with all metal and alloy pistols in the 70's then moved to all stainless.
The plastic fantastics came out and the only full metal was a 1911, thanks for going back to metal.
Now if you could add some wood it would be perfect....

do you have an inside scoop on that, or just hoping they do? that would be pretty cool. what's old is new again, i guess.
Just hoping, I have a model 59 that I bought in the 70's and it still is continues to be flawless.
I have some new replacement parts on hand, but I do not want to wear it out.
I would love to have stainless 5900 series.

sweet looking 59. i was looking at one on gunbroker. was a bit more serious about the 5906. i held off until i can actually hold one. i think the grip may be a little too thick for my average sized hand. i have an m&p9 and use the smallest backstrap, which fit me pretty just right. my lgs has a 3913, which i also considered.
