For leather I have used DeSantis Gunscabbard for years and they have given me good service. For Kydex, hands down it is Blackpoint Tactical Leather Wing holsters. Holsters with loops far apart tend to give better support on the belt. A couple photos here of Blackpoints set up for lights.

Muddy River Tactical makes good stuff (leather or Kydex) at a good price and quick service. A nice pancake style leather will carry a 1911 nicely

Pretty sure my Ronin is now "broke in"...latest trip to the range, ran over 100 rounds (Fed Amer Eagle 230gr) through 4 factory mags and three Wilson Combat mags, with no FTFs...:>).

Now I need to ask, holsters, where can I find a quality holster (OWB, Leather)...any recommendations? Found several under the custom and crafted category but I am wary of store-based reviews.

I'm a big fan of the Avenger style leather holsters. They pull the butt in close to the body and don't take up quite as much space on your belt. Just about everybody makes a version of it.

First of all, thank you all for the suggestions, much appreciated.
I ended up ordering a Garret Holster, a Kydex holster with a bonded leather lining.

I'll post a picture with the Ronin when it arrives, lol, in 3 to 4 weeks.
