Sure, Adams like a true democrat wants violence to be someone else’s fault and expense.
They all are looking for free Fed “program” money when they run out of local taxpayer money, lately due to revenue shortages shutdowns. But mayors don’t come to Chicago to discuss Fed funding for crime management solutions.

Lightfoot talks crime fighting strategy with New York City Mayor Eric Adams
During a joint news conference after a private meeting, Adams credited Lightfoot as a mayor who understands the need to focus simultaneously on “intervention and prevention.”
Now that Adams day trip meeting to Chicago depicted him as a fool, he‘s back walking some of the details. He was quoted saying our (pugnacious) mayor as “someone who gets it”.
So if the advice he sought was in line with programs, round tables, piece circles, jobs, etc. and the use unaccountable fed taxpayer dollars was the topic du jour, he should well know all these programs “community policing” intervention/prevention models have origins from LA
and NYC, federally funded since 1994 Clinton Crime Bill.
It’s utter ridiculous that a former high ranking NYPD officer (now mayor) wouldn’t know this.
Adams came
here rather than Lightpoot going there. Some stunt and it backfired. Adams chose the “always wrong“ mayor to have a sit down with. This meeting was a political move and likely staged by Lightpoots inept public affairs dimwits.
Lightpoot is the one that needs advice, she’s drowning by her own faults in the political pool and is grasping for some way to stay relevant due to her floundering and paltry re-election 2023 campaign. BTW, we have a nitwit for a supt of police*, that replaced the previous nitwit superintendent who also supported our obtuse nitwit states attorney.
(*who once locked arms with radical activists to join in on their protest march that shut down a major interstate)
One takeaway is that these major cities are now calling Gun Violence a major Health Crisis. When you have a gubmint declared a health crisis you have unlimited gubmint overreach and eventually limits to freedoms. Think 2A and fundamental transformation.
