I used to have a Facemask account. I used it to check up on prospective employees before I hired them back in the day when I was still working. Very useful for that. Anyway, the first thing I did when I retired was shut it off. I kept getting messages from old girlfriends looking to spark something back up. Despite the fact I was by then married and so were they. I can't be the only one this happened to. Give me some ammunition I can use to explain to my wife this happens to guys all the time.

simple. They are finding guys more attractive, now that they've moved up in the world, succeeded, got raises etc. Cougar logic.

I get unsolicited "friend" requests from ladies I don't even know, using alluring profiles and suggestive messages. If it's not an outright scam to steal personal information it's probably a pitch to sell unclothed pictures. Rubbish.

I am on facebook and enjoy it. I'm thousands of miles away from family and childhood friends. I've been able to reconnect with many friends I had while in the Marines and Army. And have been to military unit reunions that only would have happened because of facebook. I think I actually have three, maybe four ex-girlfriends as facebook friends. But no ex-wives! lol And for guys that brag about not being on social media, I have some news for you. This forum is a way bigger social media thing than facebook is. Some of you guys have thousands of posts about your day, what food you eat, your favorite music, and even a few guys that like to post pics of their feet! lol
