Not just a little but a lot peeved with the mothership

Wanted to purchase a 4 inch SA-35 but not with 3 dot sights..
Contacted the mother ship and they said I could buy the night sights extra for $95.00
So I asked them if they would install them on the gun if I purchased both.

They said they do not make "Custom Versions" of the SA-35.
Meaning I would need to find a local gunsmith (good luck with that)
and wait 6 months to get it back.....

Note to SA....."KMA"
many months if not years ago now, i went to Lyman's website, and bought this...

mine is the gold color one to the left.

i honestly do not remember what i paid for it back then, maybe about $125.00, and the best to have tool, even of i have up to now, used it all of 3 times..

get yourself a sight tool either like mine or another brand, and install, adjust your own..

you can then choose ANY sight YOU want for whatever gun(s) you own

sometimes nominal cost in a "few" gunsmithing tools, and watching a "few" you tube videos helps you in your time of need.

That’s exactly what I have and it works a charm.

IF you know for a fact that you will only ever change sights Once in your whole life , pay the local gun store .

2 or 3 times paid for itself.

Plus , when you can do it yourself , you'll be trying different sights frequently .

well one of our larger LGS chains has on site gunsmithing.

That's a contradiction right there !

Chain =/= LGS

LGS = Independent , Sole Proprietor / Mom & Pop / Family Owned Gun Store . If they're big sucuessful , they might open a second location .

Not saying your chain store doesn't have good service , and treat you right , but it's something else .

Last purchase I turned it over to him to put on custom sights. Done in a few minutes, and given significant discount since I bought it there. Works for me.

Yes , many ( in person ) establishments will offer ( or negeoate) free or significantly reduced installation , if you buy the sights from them at regular price .

Suggest you check out Novak and Dawson Precision. Both sell and install sights. Have had Novaks on 6 of my 1911's. Send them the slide and he turns it around complete in a day after receipt. Rates on on the website. Dawson takes about 2 weeks. Alternatively you could pick up a slide pusher or use brass punches to swap them yourself. Looks like the SA35 comes with tactical serrated "black" rear and white dot front out of the box. Not 3 dot.
