I want to thank Will Dabbs for writing the What is the Tanker article https://www.thearmorylife.com/what-is-the-tanker/ for the Armory Life. I remember seeing Tanker Garands when I was kid and wondering what they were. Dabbs did a great job on telling the story of those old guns and their confusing history. To be honest, I wanted an M1A Tanker before, and now I want it even more!

I never really understood the weird history of the Tanker. Agreed. Will did a great job on this piece. Great read.
